....lower league football club in the UK to permanently display an anti-homophobia message pitch side when they unveil the advertising board for the LGBT campaign group `Just A Ball Game?` as part of the clubs RESPECT initiative as they entertain local rivals Whitworth on Tuesday night.

After seeing Blue Square Bet Premier side Hyde FC continue their support of LGBT issues in the game with a banner, club chairman Ralph Burditt contacted `Just A Ball Game?` proposing to team up with them for the awareness raising evening at the Dog & Duck.

Burditt stated: “To be honest, it saddens me that it even needs to be pointed out to people that there is no place at all for prejudice of any kind in football.

“That is why the work of those like Lindsay who ARE making a real difference is so important and why they need our support.”
