....Division club Leamington to commit to the forthcoming campaign.
The central defensive rock has agreed terms with manager Paul Holleran and will begin his second full season at the New Windmill Ground after signing from Halesowen Town in 2010.
He was handed the captain's armband after the departure of Lee Downes in March, and led Brakes to a twelve-game unbeaten finish to the season.
Holleran was understandably pleased to have persuaded one of his most influential signings to remain the club having fought off interest from rivals, saying: “We are delighted that amidst speculation and offers from other clubs, Jamie Hood has decided to stay with Leamington for the new season.
“This is another important piece in the squad jig-saw, and ensures continuity in defence, where we had one of the best records in the division last season.”
The Brakes manager is hoping to tie up loose ends with the few members of last seasons' squad yet to commit, in the next few days.
