....League Division One against Thrapston Town at the Dog & Duck, the management team have further strengthened their squad by bringing in Sean McBride.

A ball-winning central midfielder, McBride spent last season playing for UCL Premier Division side Newport Pagnell Town, making thirty-three appearances and scoring four goals for The Swans.

He played in Diamonds’ final pre-season game against Lutterworth Athletic last Saturday.

Former Rushden & Diamonds youth team stopper James Broadbent, who has been with the club for most of the pre-season campaign, has also signed UCL registration forms, although will return to university next month.

Meanwhile, striker Manny Soetan has left the Diamonds to return to UCL Division One rivals Olney Town and central midfielder Matthew Brady has signed forms for Molten Spartan South Midlands League Division One side Winslow United.

Brady will remain on UCL forms with Diamonds, meaning that he may return to the Dog & Duck during the season.
