Sam Gore

Twenty-three-year-old left-back Sam Gore has signed for the Rams and follows Dean Hill, who joined from Margate, into Southwood.

Gore spent a year developing at Chelsea as a junior and was a youth team player at Gillingham from 15, being released after his scholarship at 18.

He joined Andy Hessenthaler at Dover Athletic at 18 and played until their first season of Blue Square Bet South and then had to have an operation.

Subsequently he went to the USA and played university football before returning to the UK where he played for Faversham Town until January, when he went travelling to Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia.

Gore confirmed: “I’m really happy about signing for Ramsgate. As soon as I knew that Tim and Darren were in charge at Ramsgate I was interested in coming over. I can’t wait for pre-season now and meeting all the lads.”
