Now Wright Joins Rovers
Ben Wright

....strengthen the squad for a promotion push next season continues.

After capturing Magno Vieira from Conference Premier champions Fleetwood Town and striker Phil Marsh from Conference North outfit Stalybridge Celtic, manager Dave Hockaday has quickly followed up with the signature of forward Ben Wright from league rivals Braintree Town.

Wright, 23, joins on a two-year contract from Braintree, where he netted eighteen Conference Premier goals in a very productive campaign for the Essex side this season.

Rovers` fans will be more than familiar with Wright, who scored in Braintree’s 2-0 win at the New Lawn at the start of the season, and who has experience from clubs such as Peterborough, Luton Town and Hayes & Yeading United.

Despite falling short of the play-offs, Rovers made a big leap this season and Hockaday believes that more options up front will give the club the extra edge as they aim for npower League Two.
