Danny Craig says he is pleased to get a new goalkeeper into the club after working on the deal to bring in Connor King for most of the summer writes Tom Feaheny.
King joins the North West Counties Football League side on work experience from Premier League Burnley where he currently plays for their U23s development squad.
Speaking about getting the deal over the line, Craig said.
“I’m sure the question of a Goalkeeper has been on everyone’s mind most of the close season. I have not been as concerned as I have been working on this deal most of the summer.
“Connor was an England U16s schoolboy international and Burnley see a loan move as the next step in his development. It goes without saying he comes with fantastic pedigree and both the club and I feel proud and honored to been trusted with this vital stage in his development.
“I couldn’t be happier with this signing. I spoke to Connor in the week and he’s excited to get started. I’m looking forward to working with him and watching him develop at our club.”
