One More Season for Jolly

....Division club Wealdstone for the final season of his career.

The 29-year-old Stones striker, who rattled in an incredible forty-eight goals in all competitions last year, has pledged to spend one more campaign at Grosvenor Vale before hanging up his boots next summer.

“We fully discussed the position with Jolls,” said manager Gordon Bartlett, who also paid tribute to his long-serving assistant Leo Morris. “Jolls dealt with a difficult period in his life a year ago and has come back with an amazing season.

“Richard has had some extremely attractive offers to lure him away from us already this close season but he has chosen to stay with us – a club that he calls his home.

“He is getting married in January and with his work career he now has to think about his future away from football, but he is determined to go out on a high as he always planned to, at Wealdstone.”

Having netted 107 goals during his first spell at Wealdstone, Jolly has added another fifty-eight since he returned to the club, originally on loan from Sutton United, less than eighteen months ago.
