....be stepping down from his position at the end of this season.

Osborne, who will be 39 at the end of this week, has been in the hot-seat for a total of six seasons, five jointly with Jason Court, and one in sole charge.

Osborne feels that with a young family and a busy job in sports retail he has been unable to put enough into the job to build on the progress that the club have made on and off the pitch in recent seasons.

It is expected that he will remain with the club in another capacity.

Osborne joined the club as a 14-year-old and apart from a short spell when he left to try his luck at Witney Town has been with the club ever since.

He has registered as a player every season and has played countless games with a fair measure of goals to his credit.

Last season the joint-managers took the club to fourth place in Division One West and missed by one place being eligible for a promotion place.

This season a combination of injuries and unavailabilities has seen the club struggle to repeat their achievements and has taken considerable toll on the manager's time as he has struggled to field teams.

Osborne informed the club committee of his intention to stand down at the end of the season some time ago and he at their request has been instrumental in securing his replacement. The Club will be making a statement about this soon.

Club chairman John Osborne paid tribute to his son: "Peter has served the club week in week out season after season since he was fourteen apart from a short period of about six months when he went as a player to Witney. Under his stewardship the club has made enormous progress on the field to supplement the progress made off the field and he has assembled a hard core of very good players who on their day are capable of beating anyone at the level at which we play. The world has changed and some players nowadays have to put work before football and that has made our managers job more difficult and more time consuming - time which Peter does not have.

"We are very grateful to Peter for all that he has done and we thank him for the progress that he has made on the field. We have already appointed a new manager to take over and we hope to build upwards from where we are now."
