....signing Dan Parker rejected the chance to join Blue Square Bet North side Worcester City on trial.
Central defender Parker only signed for Bedworth two weeks ago from Baker Joiner Midland Alliance runners-up Tipton Town.
Manager Steve Farmer said Worcester have offered the 27-year-old the chance to play in Saturday’s friendly against Championship team Birmingham City.
However, he has turned them down in order to honour his agreement at the Oval.
Farmer said: “Worcester phoned up Dan to see if he would play for them on Saturday.
“It was a good opportunity for him but he told them he had already committed to us. That’s to his credit.
“From the first two or three weeks of talking with him and watching him train it looks like he has a fantastic attitude.
“Bringing in players like Dan is exactly the kind of direction we want to go in.”
At the other end of the pitch, Farmer is looking for a powerful striker to lead the line in the Evo Stick South Division One Central.
One player who won’t be joining is former Nuneaton Town and Leamington striker Matt Lewis.
Farmer was keen to bring in Lewis, but he chosen to sign for Evo Stik North Premier Division outfit Rushall Olympic.
“I spoke to Matt a number of times and things looked promising.
“In the end he wanted to play at the highest possible and I can’t hold that against him.
“I’m looking for a striker, but I want more of a target man. We’ve got other strikers who are relatively similar and not in that mould.
“We want someone who can hold the ball up and put themselves about. We are speaking to a number of players and managers to see what we can do on that front.”
