.....Manchester United XI this Sunday (5th August) with events and activities in and around the ground leading up to kick-off.
The school field opposite The New Lawn will transform into a fairground with bouncy castles, gladiator duels, sweet stalls and more.
Local under-11 and under-13 six-a-side teams will also compete for the SiS Sixes Cup, with the final of each age group being played on The New Lawn before the big match.
The fixture has been organised by former United captain Gary Neville and Forest Green chairman Dale Vince to raise awareness and proceeds for the newly-launched `Sustainability in Sport` foundation.
Vince said: “It’s fantastic to host Man United at The New Lawn. It will be the final test of the squad before the start of the new season, as well as a big advert for the sustainability work we are doing at Forest Green and through `Sustainability in Sport`. We are expecting a big crowd and with all the events happening around the ground, it will be a great day out for the family.”
The club has also revealed that only standing tickets remain for the match, which kicks off at 3pm.
