....Football in the Community and Academy Manager.

Smith had two spells with the club as a player with two seasons at Bognor Regis Town sandwiched inbetween and is now expected to join Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division newcomers Gosport Borough.

Popular with many supporters, he gave his all whenever he played and Smith proved to be a commited, hard-working and industrious player.

Eastleigh manager Ian Baird said: "Danny has been a tremendous player for Eastleigh always giving 100% but I felt the time was right for us to go our separate ways. We wish him well."

Smith also spent six years working as FIC Manager where he was influential in building the current junior and youth structure with numerous sides at different age groups winning their respective leagues and cups.
