.....Uhlsport Division One West tonight.
The Rylands Way chief has brought in a number of new faces during the summer and says pre-season has been the best he has presided over in years.
During the summer Turner signed former Trowbridge Town centre back Matty Penman and Highworth Town duo Matty Bennett and Steve Yeardley, the latter of which returns for a second spell as skipper.
Also in are ex-Swindon Supermarine hitman Mark Barnes and England Colleges international Josh Morse, while Sean Terry has stepped up from the reserves.
“We’re really looking forward to it, there’s real excitement again this year,” said Turner.
“We’ve got some new bodies in and it’s probably the best pre-season I’ve taken in eight years.
“We look fitter than we’ve ever been and everything has fallen into place. We’ve got a different mentality and it just feels different this year.”
Bassett’s opponents tonight are Malmesbury Vics, who Bassett lost to on the opening day last year after having two players sent off. “You can’t get two people sent off and expect to win a football match,” added Turner.
“Hopefully we won’t make the same mistake we did in the first game of last season.”
