Mark Preece

....Blue Square Bet South club, with centre back Mark Preece agreeing a new one-year deal.

The former Bristol Rovers trainee joined City last summer from Mansfield Town but struggled to hold down a regular first-team place and spent a month on loan with Weston-super-Mare towards the end of 2011.

However, on his return to Twerton Park his form improved and he was ever-present for the final three months of the season.

Preece said: "I am really looking forward to next season and want to get us back to the Conference Premier."

Manager Adie Britton added: "I have been very pleased with Mark Preece in pre-season. His levels of fitness are considerably better than last year and we should see the quality of player he was prior to his operation at Mansfield. His aerial ability will be key for us."
