Long-time friend and business partner James Olsen has been appointed assistant-manager.
Olsen also played in the Football League and had this to say on the appointment: "I am delighted to be appointed assistant-manager for Bootle FC. I have a great relationship with Neil as friends and as business partner with Community Soccer Coaching. We have also been coaching the Bootle Boys under-11's District team for the last year so working together is not new to us.
“I feel that I can bring a lot of knowledge and experience to Bootle FC from my professional playing days at Liverpool, Tranmere Rovers and Macclesfield Town where I was fortunate to work for some top experienced managers like, John Aldridge, Dave Watson, Brian Little and Brian Horton.
“As Neil will be player-manager, I will have a big responsibility in training and managing the lads from the side, I have every confidence in myself and Neil to bring the club success and take the club to the next level.
“Having met with Frank and Joe Doran, I can see how passionate and professional they are about the club. The Club and Facilities are fantastic and we feel that it is exciting times ahead, for everyone involved.
“I am Looking forward to meeting the players and starting pre-season with them on Saturday - to me and Neil it can't come soon enough.
Prince added: “I am delighted to appoint James as my assistant. I am confident that together we can achieve good things in the game and that we complement each other very well.
“James has a vast amount of knowledge and experience of non-League football and I'm sure the lads will enjoy working with him. It will make things easier for me while I'm on the pitch, knowing I can trust James to make the right decisions. We can't wait to get started.”
