.....one-year professional contract at the R Costings Abbey Stadium.
The youngster has come up through the CRC ranks after being picked up from Tottenham Hotspur and is the latest in a long line of players to sign a professional deal.
Allen was delighted to put pen-to-paper but knows the hard work is only just beginning.
"I was really pleased when Jez George offered me my first ever professional contract," he said. "It demonstrates that I have developed as a player and matured throughout my development and scholar years.
"Although this is the first step in my career, I know there is lots more work to do to keep improving and bettering myself. Even though there's lots of competition for midfield places, I want to work hard to get myself a place in the squad.
"I'm really grateful that Jez and Nolan Keeley gave me six weeks extension over pre-season to prove myself worthy of a contract and it shows that I have worked hard to earn it. I can't wait to show them that they've made the right decision"
George was equally pleased to have secured Allen's signature and is hoping that the young midfielder can continue his development over the next year: "Luke was really unfortunate in the second half of last season with an injury that kept him out from February.
"He's worked really hard over the summer, especially in the gym, and has come back one of the fittest players in the group.
"We have great belief in Luke's ability and believe he has the potential to develop into a very good player. His attitude since coming back has made this decision a formality.
"We now need to find the best opportunity for Luke to develop further into becoming a first-team player."
