Rainford Loaned Back to Mariners
Jamie Rainford

....FC Halifax Town to take contract striker Jamie Rainford on loan for a month.

The loan deal sees Rainford return to Marine following his transfer to Chester FC in May 2011 and subsequent move to Halifax in February this year.

Rainford, 25, scored twenty-eight goals for the Mariners in season 2010/11 and was the club`s leading goalscorer for two seasons before his move from Marine to Chester FC.

Marine chairman Paul Leary said: “This is great news for our fans as we continue with our efforts to achieve some level of success this season.

"The paperwork for the loan has only been signed at lunchtime today but we are hopeful that clearance will be given enabling him to be available for selection for tonight’s important game against Kendall Town at the Arriva Stadium. As a Jamie Rainford fan I really look forward to seeing him in a Marine shirt again hopefully from tonight.”

Marine manager Kevin Lynch said: “To have Jamie back playing for Marine is fantastic news. Jamie is thrilled to be back at the club where his heart has always been and he is looking forward to playing back at the Arriva Stadium and enjoying his football again. I am really pleased that he is back and his return to Marine will further reinforce our striking options”
