Relegated Marlow are `Bang on Track`

....season are ‘bang on track’.

Bartley, who was named Blues boss last month, also says he is encouraged and excited by what he has seen from his new-look squad.

Most of the players who were at Marlow last season have moved on, although Marcus Mealing has remained.

Bartley has signed several players from his former club Reading Town, including the likes of Phillip John, Richard Witt, Ben Gladwin, Danny Lingwood, Alex Salmon and Jamie Pearcey.

Ex-Lincoln City, Boston United and Thatcham Town striker Graham Lewis and Sandhurst Town defender Carl Garstang have also arrived.

Bartley said: “I’m encouraged and excited.

“We’re exactly where I wanted us to be at this stage. We’re bang on schedule.

“Obviously a lot of last season’s team have moved on but we’ve kept Marcus Mealing.

“I’m delighted to have kept him. He’s done really well in training and in our first friendly.”

He added: “Some of the players from Reading Town have followed me over and they are quality players.

“I’ve got a squad of about fifteen/sixteen now and I would like to add a few more.

“There are a couple of others I’m pretty close to getting.”
