Roberts Close to Finalising Squad
Gary Roberts

....or four players away from finalising his squad for the 2012/13 season.

Having secured extended deals with Craig Hammond and Zac Barrett, the Lilywhites boss believes the team are well placed to progress.

"It’s brilliant," said Roberts. "We need another option up front and could do with two wide players to push the ones we’ve got.

"If we can get those players we could have a really good year."

With Lee Chaffey, Adie Cambridge, Robbie Nightingale, Dave Theobald, David Prada, Pat Bexfield and Neil Midgley all agreeing to remain at the Pro-Edge Stadium, Roberts is confident City can be a force to be reckoned with in the Southern Premier Division next season.

"Those players will give us a really good chance to progress," he said. "We proved last year when that core of players played together we were as good as anyone.

"If we can get those few other players that we need, we’ll be a threat again."
