After announcing that he was hanging up his boots due to transport difficulties a few weeks into the campaign, the Evo-Stik Northern Premeir League First Division North club’s leading scorer has told the Rams he’s back on board for their debut season.
Robinson came on as a substitute in last weekend’s 3-0 FA Cup defeat at AFC Fylde and is expected to feature again at Brigg Town on Saturday in the FA Trophy's Preliminary Round.
A Rams spokesman said: "It looked as though he had decided to retire once more so we are delighted that he has had another change of heart."
Ramsbottom's frontman first announced his retirement back in February but was persuaded to stay on at the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium after supporters flooded the club’s fans forum with messages of support.
Robinson went on to help the club win promotion to the NPL by winning the North West Counties League title in April.
