Jermaine Hall 31st minute penalty put Rovers in front and Nat Peacock added the second on 55 minutes.

Newly-promoted Royston Town and Guildford City both made it two wins out of two on Tuesday.

Royston earned a 4-2 home win over Chalfont St Peter in which Kaan Fehmi bagged a brace, while Guildford had a fine 2-1 win at Slough Town in which Dan Moody and Tom Tydeman outgunned Ollie Burgess` late penalty reply.

Rugby Town were held to a 2-2 home draw by Biggleswade Town, for whom Joel Mason bagged a brace, while Leighton Town went down 3-2 at home to Daventry Town, despite Leon Simpson`s double for the home side – Neil King, Jamie Gould and Matt Gearing replying.

AFC Hayes took the points with a 3-0 victory at Fleet Town, courtesy of Tony Mendy`s double, and Burnham completed a 2-0 home win over Aylesbury FC with Lewis Driver and Aaron Couch on target.

North Greenford United lost 2-1 at Chertsey Town, for whom Steve Brown and David Johnston scored in the final 7 minutes, while Uxbridge took the points from a nine-goal thriller with a 5-4 home win against Thatcham Town.

Matty Woods and Chris Moore bagged braces for the Reds, while Danny Seaward netted a hat-trick in a losing cause.

And Ashford Town (Middx) completed a 3-1 victory at Northwood in which Bairoh Conteh, Mark Bitmead and Samad Kazi scored – all the goals coming in the final 19 minutes.
