Dolan, 32, joined the Hawks in February from Staines Town.
Originally with Chelsea, he became a first-team regular with Millwall during which time he made a number of appearances for Northern Ireland at under-21 level.
He failed to regain his place in the Lions’ side following a broken leg and had loan spells at Stockport County, Crawley Town and Brighton before dropping into the non-League game.
Dolan had stays of varying length with Canvey Island, Basingstoke Town, Carshalton Athletic, Croydon Athletic, Cray Wanderers, Lewes, Kingstonian and Bromley.
Just under two weeks after the central defender scored the stoppage time goal to keep the Hawks in Blue Square Bet South, he has been told his services are no longer required.
Stuart Ritchie and Sean New broke the news to Dolan after they were unveiled as the new management team.
