......Counties League Premier Division club Windsor FC after the decision was made to withdraw the playing budget.
Along with his assistant Jim Melvin, Scott informed founding director Kevin Stott he would be leaving the club last Saturday following his team’s 6-0 win over Croydon.
The duo will take charge of this weekend’s FA Cup clash with Didcot Town before moving on and Scott says he was left with no other option.
He said: “From my own professional point of view there’s no real gain for me continuing to manage the football club.
“I love football, I was a professional for seventeen years and as a manager it’s something I’m very serious about.
“I want to win championships, I want to win trophies. For me sport is all about winning, nobody remembers people who finishes second or third.
“Take the Olympics for example which have been fantastic. Nobody will remember who came second behind Mo Farah.”
Scott added: “The club has made its decision and you have to respect that.
"But when the club made the decision to have a zero budget and it was inevitable that I would do what I did and it’s inevitable that the players will look for another football club.
“It’s frustrating for me and for Jim but it’s more frustrating for the players. A lot of them turned down moves to bigger clubs in the summer because they wanted to stay together as a group.
“They believed they had unfinished business. They wanted to win the league but obviously that’s not going to happen now.”
Meanwhile, Mick Woodham has been confirmed as the club`s new manager.
Woodham will take control after the match against Didcot.
