Scott is no stranger to the Salisbury fans where he became a firm favourite on loan last season. He played sixteen games for the Whites and kept a clean sheet in eight of those matches. His heroics helped City to their best ever FA Cup run and he was many supporters man of the match against the force of Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.
Manager Darrell Clarke said: "I’m very pleased we have managed to secure Scotty permanently, he was excellent in both loan spells last season and it means we have two excellent goalkeepers competing for the number 1 jersey. I’d like to thank the board for their part in bringing Mark back to the club on a permanent basis."
Assistant-manager Mikey Harris echoed Clarke’s comments: "ts brilliant to have Scotty back, he is a great character, popular with the fans and having two strong goalkeepers in your squad is a must if you want to be successful."
Scott said: "Its great to be back at the Ray Mac, I really enjoyed both spells here last season and the fans were great so I look forward to seeing everyone at the game tomorrow."
