Sear joins the Stutes from Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division side St Neots Town, whom he signed for from Burnham in the summer of 2011, having previously played for Beaconsfield SYCOB.

Last season he made thirty-five appearances for the Saints, scoring three times.

Sear stated that it was a very hard decision to make and greatly enjoyed his time with St Neots, becoming a terrace favourite in the process. However, the opportunity to reunite with his former boss Dennis Greene at the Glassworld Stadium and play at a higher level was too good miss.

Also signing for Histon is Theo Ola, who caught the eye with a number of impressive performances in pre-season.

Happy on either wing, Ola capped another fine game with a goal against Leiston on Saturday and signs after having spent last season with Thurrock's Academy.
