Silcock Quits Greenwood Meadows
Neville Silcock

Silcock, who has been at the club for three seasons, cites work and home commitments.

"Basically, we have a new baby and I'm physically worn out," said Silcock. "I'd made up my mind in January but then Colin Woodward died and there were more jobs.

"I'm worn out and need a good break. I've been doing too much."

Greenwood are currently tenth in the league with eleven wins and ten defeats.

"I was not enjoying it anymore and I think that was starting to filter through to the players," said Silcock.

"I'm leaving them with a good side, potentially a top-six side when everyone is fit. The trouble is that there is nowhere for the club to go. They could not survive in a higher league because they don't get a crowd."
