Sinton Looking for More New Faces
Andy Sinton

.....he steps up his search for new recruits.

The Bucks boss completed the signing of Jake Reid at the start of the week taking his summer arrivals up to three.

But Sinton is well aware that more new faces are needed before Telford kick-off their league season at Barrow AFC on August 11th.

And with an emphasis on quality rather than quantity this time around, the Bucks chief has his eye on players who can fill in a number of positions. “We are looking to maybe nineteen or twenty players and so we need people who can play across a variety of positions,” said Sinton.

“Flexibility is key for us. We already have competition for places with three full backs and three centre backs.

“And we have some players who can play in more than one position in the squad.

“Chris Sharp and Steve Jones can play anywhere across a front three or in a front two or up front on their own.

“We want to be able to change the system as well and be flexible in that sense as well.”

Sinton believes former Walsall striker Jones, could hold the key for a successful season now that the one-time Northern Ireland international has regained full fitness.

“We know what Steve Jones has to offer,” added Sinton. “He came to us in November last season without a pre-season behind him.

“We will have to manage his training because he is 35 now but with a full pre-season behind him I think he will be a big player for us.”
