Defender Nathan McLeod joins having come through Blue Square Bet South side Maidenhead United`s youth and reserve sides.

Young goalkeeper Matthew Gill was with Ryman League Division One North side Redbridge most recently, while Eric Kusi is a Ghanian midfielder who has played for Ascot United in the Uhlsport Hellenic League.

James Sage is a 17-year-old defender who joins on a month's loan from npower Championship side Peterborough United after signing a professional contract with them this past summer, and midfielder Dan Lowler is a scholar at Peterborough and joins Banbury on `work experience`.

The signings of Sage and Lowler came through Stein`s links with Posh`s director of football Barry Fry.

Another midfielder, Conor Collins, whose last club given as Northampton Town, becomes the sixth new Puritan.

Paul West, who acted briefly as caretaker boss with Edwin Stein, has now stepped down.

West said: "It has been a pleasure to work with Edwin and Brian Stein - the latter having been one of my heroes. It was an experience that I will cherish to have worked alongside such professionals who will only enhance the playing ability of the Banbury United players."

Meanwhile, ex-Premiership star Mark Stein has signed up to appear for Banbury in the FA Cup at Hungerford today - as the club's physio!
