It`s six out of six in the Bostik League North for AFC Hornchurch after they beat Maldon & Tiptree 2-1 at the Wallace Binder Ground on Tuesday night.

Junior Ogedi-Uzokwe was on target for the Jammers after 29 minutes, either side of goals from Hornchurch’s Leon McKenzie in the 12th minute and Bradley Warner just before the break.

Heybridge Swifts were looking to do likewise when they were due to travel to Canvey Island, but the match was postponed earlier in the day due to floodlight issues.

AFC Sudbury parted company with their management after their game against Brentwood Town.

But that was after their first win of the season to date.

They won 3-0 at King’s Marsh, breaking the deadlock after 68 minutes through Jake Turner.

Substitute Mekhi McKenzie scored his first senior Sudbury goal 3 minutes later and the points were sealed when Adam Mills fired home number three a minute from time.

Switched Potters Bar Town are fourth after winning 4-0 at Theobalds Lane against Cheshunt.

It wasn`t until just past the hour-mark that Sean Grace managed to break the deadlock.

Five minutes later Michael Murray doubled the Scholars lead and 5 minutes after that, Billy Lobjoit added a third, with George Nicholas making it 4-0 in stoppage time.

Waltham Abbey matched Potters Bar by winning 4-0 at new boys Hertford Town.

Two goals in either half from Shad Ngandu and Sam Robbins and then Eli Benoit and Petrit Elbi won it for the Abbots.

Bury Town won the derby at Plantation Park against a Norwich United who have now lost six out of six.

Darren Mills gave the visiting Blues an early 6th minute lead that he added to immediately after half-time.

Liam Jackson pulled one back for the Planters on 65 minutes, but they weren`t able to find a leveller.

Another derby saw Mildenhall Town seal a home win by the same scoreline against Soham Town Rangers.

Recent signing Gary Cohen put Soham ahead a minute before half-time – only for Joe Asensi to equalise a minute after it.

Soham skipper Lewis Endacott was shown a straight red for a 76th minute challenge on Hall’s Jake Chambers-Shaw and Asensi then won it for the league newcomers with a penalty 10 minutes from time.

Tony Stokes scored the only goal of the game to earn Bowers & Pitsea a 1-0 home win over Grays Athletic, while Kreshnic Krasniqi did likewise for newcomers Barking at Wodson Park against Ware.

Witham Town snatched a late equaliser to draw 1-1 at Dereham Town.

Danny Beaumont had put the hosts ahead just before half-time but Ryan Imbert popped up with an 82nd minute leveller for Adam Flint’s side.
