Christian Smith

.....instrumental in helping Chester FC to win the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division title last season.

Born in Crewe, Smith is a product of the Port Vale youth system and had loan stints at Cambridge United and Northwich Victoria before signing for Clyde in the Scottish First Division in August 2007.

After that he served Wrexham, York City, and then Newport County, Barrow AFC and Tamworth on loan before signing for Chester in August 2012. The 24-year-old went straight into Jimmy Quinn’s squad for the Dabbers opening day win at Matlock Town.
