...for the start of the new season, despite an injury blow.
The former Boldmere St Michaels and Sutton Coldfield Town centre back was one of the plusses in last season’s relegation from Blue Square Bet North but he will miss much of pre-season training with a knee injury.
However, Reds boss Martin Sockett is hopeful Wood will be available for the big kick-off.
“Adam is struggling with his knee, which was a problem for him last season,” said Sockett. “He has got a programme of rehab but the physio says Adam will hopefully be ready for the start of the season.” The Reds are still running the rule over several triallists as Sockett continues his revamp of the squad.
“We think we are putting together a strong nucleus of the squad,” he said.
