....preparations for the new season and is busy working his way through agreeing deals with players on his retained list.

There will be some surprise departures though, with former club captain Dominic Krief among four players not to be offered new terms.

Experienced former Huddersfield Town man Steve Nicholson is another, while defender Wes Milnes and midfielder Duncan Williams will also be leaving Throstle Nest.

The potent strike force of Ben Jones and Gareth Grant, both Bantams forwards in their youth, will feature as Parsley’s men launch another push for promotion to the Premier Division.

Ryan Serrant, Dave Briggs, Ryan Watson, Adam Muller, Nathan Hay and goalkeeper Tom Morgan have all signed or agreed to sign for the new campaign.

Farsley spokesman Mark Rawlinson said: “Neil Parsley said he had some very difficult decisions to make as he tries to take the club to the next level.

“He wanted to bring some new blood in ahead of the opening pre-season fixture against Thackley on July 17th, so some players had to go.

“I know Pars is speaking to his targets but he can’t sign them until July 1st, so doesn’t want to release any details for fear of alerting other clubs.

"He is still in negotiations with a number of potential signings.”
