Launceston, who had no game on Saturday, wasted no time in getting three points on the board with a 3-0 win away at Cullompton Rangers with Sam Davey scoring twice and Ryan Crabb once for the Clarets.
Plymouth Parkway, who had an FA Cup tie on Saturday, played and won their first league game of the season as they edged a seven-goal thriller to beat Tavistock 4-3 at Bolitho Park.
Ryan Richards led the way with a hat-trick for the home side, who led 4-1 at one point before a late rally saw the visitors reduce the arrears with two goals from Shane White and one through Ian Rooke.
Saltash United, who had also been on FA Cup duty on Saturday, had a thumping 9-0 win away at Penzance as the Penlee Park club continue to struggle.
Newquay, who had lost their opening league game last weekend, got off the mark on Tuesday night with a 3-2 win over St Blazey in the first ever Step 6 match staged at Mount Wise.
