Elburton Villa grabbed a late, late winner to gain maximum points with a 3-2 victory away at Cullompton Rangers that lifts Villa a place to fifth.

Above them in fourth spot are Tavistock, who had a more straight forward away day win as they were 5-1 victors at Bovey Tracey.

A busy day of action as the SWP teams joined the Cornwall Senior Cup competition.

Seven more Premier sides joined Launceston who had won on Friday night as half of the last sixteen is made up of Premier sides.

Holders Bodmin Town started the defence of the cup with an emphatic 9-0 win away at Falmouth Town in the days only all-Premier cup tie.

Three Premier sides were in action against feeder league opposition with all four progressing.

Newquay were 3-1 winners away at Lanreath, St Blazey ran out 4-1 victors away at Wendron United and Saltash United scored seven without reply away at Probus.

The final three Prenmier sides to go through all did so at the expense of West Division opposition with Torpoint Athletic made to work hardest as a late winner saw them beat Godolphin Atlantic 2-1 in a tie that had gone to extra-time.

Elsewhere Camelford had beaten Sticker 2-1 at home and Liskeard Athletic were 6-0 winners away at Foxhole Stars.

Six West Division sides reached the last sixteen but only one of them did so by beating a non-West outfit.

Truro City claiming a giant-killing by winning 2-1 away at Premier side Penzance. The reamining five ties were all West match-ups with Callington Town beating Perranporth 4-0 at Marshfield Park, Dobwalls were 4-2 winners over Hayle at Lantoom Park, Penryn Athletic had a narrow 2-1 home win over Porthleven at Kernick, St Dennis had a high scoring 7-1 win over Mousehole at Boscawen Park and last but not least two West high flyers met at Bodieve Park where Helston were 2-1 winners over Wadebridge Town.

There were half a dozen Devon Cup ties played on Saturday but one of them was in fact in the previous round!

Okehampton Argyle against North Devon League side BOCA Seniors was finally played at the fifth time of asking, but even then it went on as it took both extra-time and penalties before BOCA finally resolved the tie and they now travel to the University of Exeter in the third round next Saturday.

The other five ties were indeed third round matches with five East sides progressing to the last eight.

There were three all-East matches which saw Exeter Civil Service win 1-0 away at Budleigh Salterton, Exmouth Town had a 2-0 home win over Newton Abbot Spurs and also using home advantage were Stoke Gabriel, who beat Appledore 3-1.

One tie was a West v East match with Teignmouth from the East winning 4-2 away at West Division side Holsworthy and the final tie saw Alphington beat Plymouth & West Devon League side Roborough 2-1 at the Chronicles.
