Sponsorship Boost for Diamonds

....forthcoming season EA Sports will be their official first-team and under-18s major sponsor, whilst Tempest Sports will be the club’s official shirt manufacturer and sports clothing provider.

EA Sports is one of the leading sports entertainment brands in the world, with top-selling videogame franchises, award-winning interactive technology, fan programs and cross-platform digital experiences.

EA Sports creates connected experiences that ignite the emotion of sports through industry-leading sports videogames, including Madden NFL football, FIFA Soccer, NHL® hockey, NBA LIVE basketball, NCAA® Football, Tiger Woods PGA TOUR® golf, SSXTM, and Fight Night boxing.

Tempest Sports is a relatively unknown name in football world. However, they have been kit manufacturer to AFC Wimbledon for a number of years and have also supplied Peterborough United, FC United of Manchester and Redditch United.

Tempest and AFC Rushden & Diamonds have worked very closely on the bespoke playing strip for the forthcoming season along with a range of training wear both of which will be available in the club shop and the online shop during the season.

Alp Orge, owner from Tempest, said: “Tempest Sports are delighted to have this opportunity to work with AFC Rushden & Diamonds, we know only too well how important fan run and managed clubs are to the footballing community, and we look forward to working with AFCR&D over the coming season and beyond to deliver the highest quality kit to help support the clubs growth. We wish all players and supporters of the club great success for the coming season.”

Chairman Ralph Burditt also spoke about both partnerships: “I am delighted that we have the opportunity to work with commercial partners of such a high calibre. EA Sports are a globally recognised leader in the gaming industry and I am very proud that they have acknowledged the forward-thinking nature of our club by promoting their brand through us. At AFC Rushden & Diamonds we are always looking for ways in which we can use technology to improve the services which we provide to our supporters and partnering with a company like EA can only help us in these endeavors.”

“The deal with Tempest Sports will also be of great benefit to the club. Dealing directly with a UK-based manufacturer cuts out the middle-man and provides us with a great combination of quality and price. It has also given us the opportunity to have bespoke home and away shirts which is certainly not the norm for clubs at our level. We have control of when our designs will be changed without being influenced by a manufacturer’s standard catalogue and Tempest also do a great range of other sportswear which I know that both players and supporters will like. I’ve been trying out one of their rain jackets myself for the past couple of months and I have to say that it has been excellent.”
