....League Southern Premier Division side Chippenham Town.

The Seagulls’ swooped and claimed their third new recruit this pre-season after completing the signings of Ashley Kington and Chas Hemmings earlier in the week.

Stearn, who once signed a professional contract at Bristol City, returns to The Woodspring Stadium after a short spell during the 2010 campaign.

Assistant-manager Jon Haile said: “Ross is an exciting midfielder that likes to run at the opposition.”

Despite the influx of players, Haile confirmed that he and manager Craig Laird were still on the lookout for more signings.

He said: “We have spoken to around ten players now and obviously we are not going to sign all ten, but you have to target two or three players in the same position where you are looking to strengthen to ensure you get one of them.

“It has been hard work because some player targets that are currently playing Southern League football are getting paid more than what we can offer but some of the targets are more interested in playing the standard and believe in what we are trying to achieve so the fans can look forward to hearing about even more signings soon.”
