Former Dolly Blue defender Stimpson is stepping down from his role as work commitments leave the ex-City manager unable to fulfill his duties at Giant Axe.

Stimpson was brought in to replace Phil Brown at the end of last season by manager Tony Hesketh, who has since taken a leave of absence due to hip replacement surgery.

Caretaker-manager Mick Hoyle and player/assistant-manager Michael Stringfellow will continue from the dug-outs until Hesketh's return.
