Stour Must Cencentrate on Own Game
Gary Hackett

....reaches a thrilling climax.

The Glassboys head to Frome Town on Saturday knowing even a win still may not be enough to secure a play-off place.

But the manager says they cannot afford to worry about what may be happening elsewhere.

He said: “We have just got to take care of our own business.

“We can’t affect what is happening at other games but we can certainly affect what is happening at Frome.

“We know what we have got to do and we will go there confident.”

Stour head into the game having won three on the bounce and five of their last six, after last weekend’s 2-1 victory over play-off rivals AFC Totton.

Several hundred fans are expected to make the trip to Somerset and are being urged to wear yellow and green as the Glassboys will be playing in their away colours.

Hackett confirmed there are no fresh injury concerns and has backed his side to perform on the big occasion. He said: “We have players in form and we have proved on more than one occasion this season we can perform under pressure.

“That has to stand us in good stead.

“I think we have constantly shown we are a side who plays for 90 minutes and are never out of it.

“We have guys who played against Plymouth and other big games.

“A few weeks ago we got written off and I said we would be dangerous opponents.

“We have come back very strongly.

“I believe if we win down at Frome something will happen elsewhere to help us out.”
