...announced their managerial positions for next season.
The first-team will continue to be run by Tony Sullivan and the reserves will be managed by Carl Clampitt.
Whilst Sullivan will continue to seek to improve the first-team, Clampitt appointment is his first but the club were extremely impressed by his interview and feel that he is the right man to develop players to support the senior team.
Clampitt has an extensive playing record, having played with Liverpool, Tranmere Rovers, Preston North End and Shrewsbury as well as experience in Icelandic football and having had a contract offer from Hearts which, due to injury, never came to fruition.
At non-League level Clampitt has played for Barrow, Rhyl, Witton Albion and previously spent time with Lairds.
Clampitt responded to his appointment by saying: “I am delighted to be re-joining Lairds and look forward to working with Sully in developing a successful Cammell Laird.”
In response, Sullivan commented: "I look forward to working with Carl and taking the club back to we're it should be."
