....signing Michael Cheek, Ben Newson and Russell Malton, who has previously played for the club and was on the books of Colchester United.

Part of the process of these signings has come about through the new chief scout that manager Mark Hawkes has brought in - and it is non other than former manager Wayne Bond, who is back involved with the Scraley Road outfit.

Newson is the twin brother of Sam, who is the prolific scorer currently with Needham Market.

Ben can play in a variety of positions within midfield and defence and is generally used a wide midfielder. The 23-year-old six-footer has a natural eye for goal.

Both Cheek and Malton are strikers and Malton's first spell with Swifts saw him clock up an impressive scoring ratio to games played.
