Launceston v Bodmin Town was called off in the morning which was bad enough, but an hour or so before kick-off both Cullompton Rangers versus Helston Athletic and Exmouth Town versus Plymouth Parkway went the same way, with both away teams having traveled.
With just 28 more days of the season allowed for Step 6 league matches the secretary has had to shoe-horn in these late postponements back into the schedule.
Onto the action and with a short programme already as some sides had brought forward matches to assist Cornwall youth, there were just four matches played.
Leaders Tavistock were in action though and were held to a 1-1 draw at Langsford Park by visiting Falmouth Town.
This allowed Saltash United to climb back into second spot and reduce the gap to just three points after the Ashes got back to winning ways with a 6-1 win away at bottom of the table St Blazey.
The only other top six side in action were St Austell and they cemented their fifth place with a 4-1 win at home to Torpoint Athletic.
At the bottom, Newquay completed a quickfire double over Witheridge, as they won away 4-3 last weekend and won the home return 3-1 at Mount Wise.
The Peppermints are still five points adrift of Witheridge but are a massive nine points clear now of bottom side St Blazey.
