....Potters came back and a Delaney brace in the second half earned the visitors a point.
Alresford Town were in fine form, winning 4-0 away at Hayling United. Steve Harding and Suhael Odeh both scored the Magpies whilst Carl Saunders bagged a brace too for the away side.
Lymington Town and AFC Portchester drew 3-3, whilst Bemerton Heath Harlequins grabbed a 1-0 away win at New Milton Town.
Linnets boss Darren Curtis said that his side missed too many chances and dominated much of the ball. He was proud of his side's performance.
Elsewhere, Jeff Softley's Downton won 2-0 away at Romsey Town. Vinnie Rusher scored a penalty and Nic Turpin also scored for the Robins.
In the first round of the Hampshire Senior Cup, Petersfield Town beat Rozel Rovers 3-2 at Love Lane. Ami Rosario put Town ahead and one of the other goals came from Lafferty which made it 2-1 at half-time, and despite both sides netting in the second-half, Town held on to win 3-2.
In the League Cup second round, United Services Portsmouth beat Cowes Sports 3-1.
Ben Booker scored two and Pete Lynes also scored, whilst Daz Williams did level for the Islanders from the penalty spot.
