Sydenhams Wessex League Round-Up....
Steve Hutchings

....St George's Park in the Sydenhams Football League (Wessex) Premier Division on Boxing Day.

Tom McInnes got the only goal of the game after just 6 minutes and the hosts held out for all three points.

Elsewhere in the lunchtime kick-off on Boxing Day, Moneyfields beat their neighbours Horndean, 4-0 at Dover Road.

Former AFC Bournemouth striker Steve Hutchings scored a hat-trick for the home side and Jake Slater got the other goal in the impressive victory.

Earlier on in the week, on Wednesday night, Bournemouth Poppies scored a last-minute winner from Dan Taylor to earn a 2-1 away win at Fawley AFC.

The visitors had gone ahead in the first-half thanks to front man, Dave Ewen but Fawley drew level just a minute after half-time.

With both sides pushing for a winner, it was Taylor who got the winner to earn three points for Poppies to boost them ahead of their local derby at home to Christchurch on December 27th.
