Tom McNeill

.....brought in Tom McNeill from Ebbsfleet United and he will make his Tanners debut against Tooting & Mitcham United tonight.

A young goalkeeper who was at Wycombe Wanderers as a youth player, McNeill also played for Windsor & Eton, Harrow Borough and Bracknell Town.

He first came to the attention of the Fleet during a trial period in the summer of 2011 but was not rewarded with a contract the first time around. However, after the departure of Joe Welch, he was signed as cover for Preston Edwards in February 2012 and almost immediately called upon to deputise when Edwards was sent off in a game at Bath City. McNeill got a further chance to shine at the end of the 2011/12 season after injuries to both Edwards and Lance Cronin saw him elevated to the number one spot and he turned in a fine performance at Luton Town, going on to play the final three games of the season.

He was signed again as cover for Edwards in the summer of 2012.
