The errea Somerset County League club's secretary Rod Pepperall said: "We're extremely disappointed that Taunton have decided to withdraw their support especially at a point when plans were in place for us to play an increased role in the football set-up at Wordsworth Drive.” It had been suggested the Blackbrook would act as a stepping stone between the senior club's successful under-18 side and the Southern League team. But Taunton's chairman and chief executive Kevin Sturmey said: "I can confirm that the ground share agreement with Blackbrook has not been renewed, but a full statement will be given at a later date because of various issues.
"I would like to take this opportunity to wish Taunton Blackrbook well for the future and hope that there can still be a relationship between the two clubs." Meanwhile, Taunton Town will be holding interviews for vacant manager's job later today and hope to make an announcement on Sunday. They are looking to replace Paul West, who was sacked last month after being in charge for three seasons.
