Busy Salford City announce that influential midfielder Sam Walker has agreed to extend his contract with the Vanarama National League North club until the summer of 2018.

Walker joined the Ammies from FC Halifax Town before the start of last season and went on to play a key role in a side that made it to the National League North play-offs.

A cultured player who tormented many a Salford side during his time with Curzon Ashton, the Ammies are pleased to have him on board for another season.

However, Josh Hine has left the club after making forty-three appearances, scoring 8 goals since signing in January 2016.
