FC Halifax Town boss Billy Heath believes his side need to recreate their performance against Harrogate Town again to ensure themselves of a play-off place in the Vanarama National League North.

After that 3-0 victory, Heath speaking to the club’s website praised his side after they won the Yorkshire derby.

“I thought we were absolutely fantastic. We controlled the game for all the first half. We didn’t look like conceding at any point and played some good stuff.

“Second half, when they came out, they had a little bit more of the ball and put us under a bit more pressure. You are going to get that. You can’t dominate the full game but I was pleased with the third goal and, like I say, we should have had a few more.

We know we should have got something out of Fylde. But this win was massively important to bounce back and we were exceptional.”

When looking at what is needed to ensure a play-off place. Heath believes his third placed side need only three more points to guarantee themselves a chance of gaining promotion back to the Vanarama National League.

“I think we will only need to win once because of the Darlington situation. If we win on Saturday then that will be it. It will be nice if we make sure we can do that. Then we can alleviate any pressures going into the last game of the season.”
