Hartlepool United boss Craig Harrison says the spirit within the group led to them getting the win against Torquay United writes Tom Feaheny.

The Pools gained a 2-0 victory and are now just a point off the play-off places after two second-half goals ensured they made it seven games unbeaten.

“Torquay got out of the blocks very quickly and put us under a lot of pressure after their good win at Ebbsfleet in midweek,” Harrison told the club’s website.

“We took the sting out of them and went out and played our game in the second half, and we could probably have won by more in the end.

“The one thing we have got is great team spirit. When things aren’t going well we don’t point fingers, we get closer together and the second half is a good example of that – we came out like a different team.”
