Defender Sam Minihan has signed a new deal to remain with Vanarama National League North club Stockport County until the end of next season.
Twenty-two-year-old Minihan joined the Hatters at the end of June after playing a key role in keeping Worcester City in the National League North last year.
Having played in the Football League with Rochdale, highly-rated Minihan was a big favourite at Worcester and swept the board in their end-of-season awards. He’s scored three goals and made thrity-one appearances for County’s first-team since making the move to Cheshire last summer.
Stockport boss Jim Gannon said: “Sam can play full-back, wing-back or act as a hard working wide or ‘side’ midfielder in a three or four-man midfield. He gives us great options down the right side defensively and offensively”.
