Dover Athletic striker Ricky Miller is expected to join Peterborough United on a free transfer writes Tom Feaheny.
The forward scored 42 times this season in the Vanarama National League. He also won the Player Of The Year award in the division and has impressed at the Crabble.
Despite his goals Dover were not able to get into the play-offs and it now seems Miller will be moving to the Football League.
A number of League One clubs had been linked with the forward due to his impressive form. In total he has scored scoring 64 goals in 91 appearances.
Portsmouth and Bristol Rovers were two clubs that were very keen to take Miller on in the summer.
It is known that Posh were interested in signing Miller in January. The deal did not happen.
Posh chairman Darragh MacAnthony tweeted a few days ago that Posh had signed someone who ‘knows how to score goals’
