Guiseley’s Simon Walton believes the side have what it takes to remain in the Vanarama National League after a hard-fought 2-1 loss against Tranmere Rovers writes Tom Feaheny.
The Lions remain out of the relegation places but only by a single point ahead of the last two matches. Walton said.
“We have an away and home game coming up. I think if we put in a good level of performance like we did against Tranmere Rovers then we will be alright.
“We’ve done well to know it is still in our hands. We don’t want pats on the back at the minute because we still need to pick up more points. We just want to stay in this division.”
Ahead of facing Bromley and Solihull Moors. Guiseley know that with the likes of Torquay and Braintree all having potential to pick up points they need to gain at least one more result.
“You look at how we played against Tranmere a team who are fighting for promotion. A ten minute period has cost us with the result, but we have to build on it going forward.”
